3-Phase Training Plan
Develop Strength, Conditioning and HYROX Specific Fitness
- Base Season – Big Focus on Building Strength (3x/wk). Run Fitness focus on Building Volume up to Race duration (2-3x/wk). Focus on Mastering Form & Technique on Stations (1-2x/wk).
- Build Season – Maintain Strength while Building Muscular Endurance (2-3x). Start to add Speed, Threshold and Intensity to Run Workouts (2-3x/wk). Big Focus on Building Volume on Station Work up to Race Demands (2-3x/wk).
- Race Season – Maintain Strength decrease volume (1-2x/wk). Time to get Race Pacing (Threshold) dialled in (3x/wk). Focus on Station Work at Race Intensity/Pace (2-3x/wk).
